University of British Columbia Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship

Two-year RCPSC-accredited (2017) CGSO fellowship accepting one fellow per year, with training centered at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) and the BC Cancer Agency’s provincial network. Rotations cover breast, gastric, colorectal, peritoneal surface malignancies, HPB, sarcoma, melanoma, and thyroid, plus non-surgical blocks (medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, research). Electives include community surgical oncology, HPB, head & neck, palliative care, academic colorectal, and international options. Strong research and education curriculum with provincial tumor conferences and SSO symposium support.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Completion (or anticipated completion) of a recognized General Surgery residency.

  • Demonstrated commitment to Complex General Surgical Oncology.

  • Application via NRMP (National Residency Matching Program).
