Global Cancer Movement

Global Cancer Movement is an initiative by OncoDaily, the world’s leading oncology media platform.

Problem Statement

Around 20 million people are diagnosed with cancer annually. This number is expected to rise by 77%, reaching 35 million by 2050. Despite this growing burden, many cancer patients, especially those in low- and middle-income countries, lack access to high-quality cancer care.

Compounding this issue is the lack of inclusion of special populations—such as children, pregnant women, and those with rare cancers—in clinical trials, limiting the availability of effective treatment options for these groups. Additionally, the lengthy approval process for drugs, even those with proven efficacy and safety, delays access to potentially life-saving treatments.

Even for those who receive the best possible care, the journey does not end with the completion of treatment. The long-term social, financial, and mental consequences of cancer can be profound, impacting survivors’ quality of life well beyond the conclusion of their medical care.

Our Solution

Global Cancer Movement is a collaboration platform that brings attention to the challenges that cancer patients and survivors face and mobilizes resources to solve these problems. We unify global efforts to advance cancer research and bring equal care opportunities FOR EVERY PATIENT WITH CANCER.

Why Us?

Since its establishment, OncoDaily has been the voice of oncology. With unprecedented coverage of news, events, and scientific breakthroughs in the field of oncology, it has not only become the leading media platform but has also collected and analyzed data regarding the challenges that cancer patients face throughout their journey.

Armed with this data and by integrating it with existing literature and research, we have decided to launch a first-of-its-kind oncology platform where stakeholders—including patients, caregivers, doctors, researchers, and organizations—can raise funds, collect petitions, and raise awareness on cancer issues in one place, aiming to foster innovation and bring universal access to the highest standard of cancer care to patients around the globe.

The Five Pillars of Our Work

  • High-quality cancer care must be accessible to every patient with cancer regardless of nationality, race, gender, age, socio-economic status, and geographic location.
  • Cancer research must be a high priority, and significant funds must be continuously invested in the field to fuel innovation and conquer cancer.
  • Innovative and promising therapies must be available and accessible to patients with cancer without any delays.
  • Special patient populations (children, pregnant women, elderly, patients with rare cancers, patients with disabilities, patients in conflict-affected regions, etc.) must have equal opportunities for cancer research and care.
  • Patients with cancer and survivors must have equal opportunities for work and life.
