Carboplatin Dose Calculator (Calvert Formula) is a medical tool used in oncology to determine the correct carboplatin chemotherapy dose based on a patient’s kidney function and the intended treatment intensity. It helps maximize the drug’s effectiveness while reducing the risk of severe side effects, particularly bone marrow suppression.

Dose Categories (general clinical guidance, actual dosing is individualized):

  • Low Dose (highlighted in orange) – Used for patients with reduced kidney function or when aiming to minimize toxicity.

  • Standard Dose (highlighted in green) – Commonly prescribed for most treatment plans, balancing efficacy and safety.

  • High Dose (highlighted in orange) – Applied in aggressive treatment protocols, requiring close monitoring.

  • Very High Dose (highlighted in red) – Rarely used; typically reserved for special cases in clinical trials or specific cancer types.
