“As August wraps up, I want to celebrate Samhita Kotapati, a 1st‑year medical student at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and 1st author of a review on Emerging Treatments in Bone Tumors.
The review highlights advances in targeted therapies, surfaceoma bispeciphic and ADC, Myc directed treatments, immunomodulation, and early‑phase trials that are reshaping the future of bone tumor treatment.
Samitha approached every discussion with curiosity, discipline, and kindness – and impressed me from the very beginning.
But even more impressive was her enthusiasm – the kind of enthusiasm that makes a student pack her bags and fly to New York to spend part of her summer in the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center sarcoma service, eager to learn, observe, and contribute.
