Rob Winn: What the medical community can do when it talks “with” and not “at” the community
Rob Winn shared on LinkedIn:
“The partnership VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center has with the National Patient Advocate Foundation is an example of what the medical community can do when it talks ‘with’ and not ‘at’ the community.
Glad to be a part of today’s NPAF working group session in Richmond. As I told the survivors and caregivers, there is often mention of miracles in medicine. But the miracles are actually the patients who had the treatments in the first place. Their stories are the miracles.
Voices matter. Representation matters. Collaboration matters.”
