End the Discrimination of Cancer Patients Trying to Access Financial Services – Irish Cancer Society
Irish Cancer Society shared a post on X:
“Gov. has brought forward proposed legislation to end the discrimination of cancer patients trying to access financial services
While welcome we want this legislation to go further.
If you’ve faced barriers as a cancer survivor to accessing financial services please get in touch.”
Mark Lawler, Chair in Translational Cancer Genomics and the Associate Director of Postgraduate Studies at Queen’s University Belfast, shared this post, adding:
“Delighted Irish Cancer Society efforts have led Gov to propose legislation to prevent cancer survivors from financial discrimination.
Our recent work provided crucial evidence. But Cancer Knows No Borders so share your stories from Northern Ireland with us also.”
