2025 FASCO Recipients Part – 2

The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) recently released the FASCO recipients for 2025.

The FASCO (Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology) distinction, introduced in 2007 and previously known as the ASCO Statesman Award, recognizes members for their exceptional volunteer service, involvement, and dedication to the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the Association for Clinical Oncology.

This prestigious honor celebrates the most engaged ASCO members and inspires others to participate actively in ASCO activities.

To earn the FASCO title, members must accumulate at least 100 points through various volunteer and engagement efforts.

Here is Part 2 of the FASCO Recipients:

1. Heather L. McArthur, MD, MPH, FASCO: Heather L. McArthur, MD, MPH, is a Professor of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she serves as the Clinical Director of the Breast Cancer Program at the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. She holds the Komen Distinguished Chair in Clinical Breast Cancer Research.

2. Inga T. Lennes, MD, MPH, MBA, FASCO: Dr. Inga T. Lennes is a distinguished medical oncologist who specializes in lung and esophageal cancers. She currently serves as the President of the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Faculty Practice Organization and Senior Vice President of Ambulatory Services at UCSF Health.

3. Ryan D. Nipp, MD, FASCO: Ryan D. Nipp, MD, MPH, is a gastrointestinal oncologist and cancer outcomes researcher at the University of Oklahoma (OU) Health Sciences Center and the OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center. He serves as the Director of Geriatric Oncology, Director of Cancer Outcomes Research, Director of Trainee Research, and the Associate Fellowship Director for the Oncology Fellowship at OU Health.

4. Amy C. Peterson, MD, FASCO: Amy C. Peterson, MD, is a distinguished oncologist and pharmaceutical executive with extensive experience in oncology drug development. She earned her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University, completed her internal medicine residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and pursued a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Chicago.

5. Lesley K. Seymour, MD, PhD, FASCO: Lesley K. Seymour, MD, PhD, FASCO, is a distinguished medical oncologist and researcher renowned for her contributions to drug development and clinical trial methodology. She serves as the Director of the Investigational New Drug (IND) Program and Deputy Director of the Canadian Cancer Trials Group (CCTG).

6. Sara M. Tolaney, MD, MPH, FASCO: Sara M. Tolaney, MD, MPH, is the Chief of the Division of Breast Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Associate Director of the Susan F. Smith Center for Women’s Cancers. She also serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

7. Anne S. Tsao, MD, FASCO: Anne S. Tsao, MD, FASCO, is a distinguished medical oncologist specializing in thoracic cancers, with a particular focus on mesothelioma. She serves as the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Director of the Mesothelioma Program at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

8. Jason Westin, MD, MS, FACP. FASCO: Jason Westin, MD, MS, FACP, FASCO, is a distinguished medical oncologist specializing in lymphoma, currently serving as a professor and physician-scientist at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He holds the position of Service Line Leader for the Department of Lymphoma/Myeloma and directs the Lymphoma Clinical Research Program.

9. Claudine Isaacs, MD, FRCPC, FASCO: Claudine Isaacs, MD, FRCPC, FASCO, is a distinguished medical oncologist specializing in breast cancer. She serves as a Professor of Medicine and Oncology, Associate Director for Clinical Research, and Leader of the Clinical Breast Cancer Program at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University.
