Jon Wigginton: New Survival Data for Tarlatamab Plus Durvalumab Presented at ESMO 2026

Jon Wigginton, President of Research and Development at Bright Peak Therapeutics, shared on LinkedIn:

“Important new IO solid tumor insight in NEJM + presented at ESMO.

T-cell engager (Tarlatamab) in combination with checkpoint inhibitor (Durvalumab) markedly enhances both PFS and OS versus checkpoint inhibitor alone in maintenance setting for patients with extensive-stage small cell lung carcinoma (ES-SCLC).

OS 21.1 vs 12.7 mos (HR=0.42, P<0.001). PFS 7.4 vs 1.9 mos (HR=0.34, P<0.001). Grade 3 or greater AE 46.8% in combo pts vs 40.6% of patients treated with Durvalumab alone. TCEs can also drive the PD-1/PD-L1 axis, so this combination makes good sense. Important concept for IO-IO combination therapy.”
