Mammo 2026: Global Breast Cancer Virtual Congress

Oct 8, 2026 · 12:00 AM – Oct 9, 2026 · 11:00 PM

The Mammo 2026 OncoDaily Breast Cancer Congress is a global virtual medical congress dedicated to advancing breast cancer care, with a focus on early diagnosis, risk stratification, multidisciplinary treatment strategies, and emerging directions in disease management and control.

Breast Cancer Awareness represents both a global health priority and a defining success story in modern oncology. Breast cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer worldwide, with over 2.3 million new cases and approximately 670,000 deaths annually. Prognosis is strongly dependent on stage at diagnosis: the 5-year survival rate exceeds 99% for localized disease, declines to around 86% for regional spread, and falls to approximately 30% for distant metastatic disease. Despite this burden, progress has been substantial. Advances in early detection, precision diagnostics, targeted therapies, and immunotherapy have transformed outcomes. Over the past decades, breast cancer mortality has declined by approximately 44% since 1989, reflecting the impact of screening and innovation in treatment. These data underscore why Breast Cancer Awareness matters. Prevention strategies, routine screening, early diagnosis, and timely access to advanced care are critical, and directly influence survival. Early detection is not only advantageous, it is decisive.

Scientific Program Overview

This comprehensive international congress will explore the full clinical spectrum of breast cancer, emphasizing practical, evidence-based management in 2026. The program will address contemporary approaches to screening and early-stage disease through risk-adapted decision-making, as well as innovative strategies for metastatic and triple-negative breast cancer. Sessions will examine structured treatment principles that guide daily clinical practice, including the selection of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), the sequencing of endocrine therapies, multidisciplinary coordination, and individualized patient care.

The Mammo 2026 OncoDaily Breast Cancer Congress  is designed for medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, translational researchers, and oncology trainees seeking a practical and globally informed perspective on breast cancer management in 2026.

Program Chairs

Giuseppe Curigliano, MD, PhD, is Full Professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Milano and Chief of the Clinical Division of Early Drug Development at the European Institute of Oncology (IEO) in Milan, Italy. He serves as the President-Elect of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO). Dr. Curigliano is an internationally recognized expert in advanced drug development for solid tumors, with a highly dedicated clinical focus on breast cancer. His extensive translational research centers on biomarkers, personalized medicine, and pioneering innovative targeted compounds. He has contributed to the clinical development of multiple anticancer treatments that are now standard of care worldwide.

Antonio Marra, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in Precision Oncology in the Department of Oncology and Hemato-Oncology at the University of Milan and a practicing Medical Oncologist at the European Institute of Oncology (IEO). He previously advanced his research capabilities as a Research Associate at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York. Dr. Marra focuses extensively on breast cancer and early-phase drug development. His scientific work bridges laboratory discoveries with clinical practice through genomics, multiomics, and the application of artificial intelligence for biomarker discovery in solid tumors. He is a recipient of the prestigious AIRC Next Gen Clinician Scientist Grant.

Sara M. Tolaney, MD, MPH, is the Chief of the Division of Breast Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She also serves as the Associate Director of the Susan F. Smith Center for Women’s Cancers. Dr. Tolaney is a renowned breast medical oncologist globally praised for her leadership in clinical trials and the optimization of breast cancer therapeutics. Her major research endeavors center around immunotherapy, novel combinations, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). Notably, she developed the widely adapted paclitaxel and trastuzumab (APT) regimen utilized internationally for low-risk, early-stage HER2-positive breast cancer.
