
Sarcoma, Melanoma and Rare Tumours (SMART) Fellowship
The SMART Fellowship offers an intensive 6–12 month opportunity for surgical trainees to develop specialized expertise in surgical oncology, with a focus on soft tissue sarcoma, melanoma, and rare tumours. This position is ideal for individuals nearing completion of, or recently completed, their Specialist Training Programme and seeking to transition into a focused surgical oncology career.

Duration:
6–12 months
Eligibility:

Surgical trainees in advanced stages or post-completion of their Specialist Training Programme

Strong interest in surgical oncology, particularly soft tissue sarcoma and melanoma
Responsibilities:
The fellow will take administrative and clinical charge of the SMART Unit. Duties include participating in multidisciplinary care, surgery, clinical decision-making, and academic or service development projects. Detailed expectations are outlined in the job description.
