Melinda Aldrich has been appointed to the ASHG Board of Directors
Melinda Aldrich was recently elected to the (American Society of Human Genetics) ASHG Board of Directors.
Melinda Aldrich is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Genetic Medicine of at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Previously, she was a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley and Research Associate at Genentech.
She earned her PhD and MPH degree in epidemiology from University of California, Berkeley.
Dr. Aldrich conducts cutting-edge research to inform the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of lung cancer for all populations.
She was the Past President of the American College of Epidemiology.
Currently, she serves on the Steering Committee of International Lung Cancer Consortium and Population Sciences Working Group at American Association for Cancer Research.
As a leader in lung cancer screening research, her work has played a pivotal role in shaping key health policy guidelines for lung cancer screening issued by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF).
