Sergey Badalyan: Closing ASCO26 With Gratitude, Productive Collaboration, and Inspiration

Sergey Badalyan, Medical Oncology Resident at Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center, Assistant Managing Editor at OncoDaily Medical Journal, shared a post on LinkedIn:

My first ASCO experience is coming to an end, and what an unforgettable week it has been.

From the moment I stepped into the venue for the first time to the final sessions, meetings, interviews, and conversations, ASCO 2026 has been a whirlwind of learning, networking, and unforgettable moments.

Behind every photo, video, and post was a lot of work. Covering a meeting of this scale meant balancing interviews, partnership meetings, content creation, and countless organizational tasks happening at the same time. It was intense, sometimes exhausting, but incredibly rewarding.

What makes me especially proud is what OncoDaily achieved during this year’s ASCO26. Alongside our extensive coverage from the meeting, we successfully organized three wonderful events:

  • Grand Rounds: Sarcoma Edition,
  • Yvonne Awards
  • Grand Rounds: AI in Oncology Edition.

Seeing these initiatives come to life and bringing together experts, advocates, and members of the oncology community was one of the highlights of the week.

During one of the leadership sessions I attended here in Chicago, one quote particularly resonated with me: “One man can be a crucial ingredient in a team, but one man cannot make a team.

Looking back at everything we accomplished, I couldn’t agree more. This successful ASCO edition for OncoDaily was built on teamwork, trust, and the efforts of many dedicated people working behind the scenes. None of it would have been possible without our incredible team and the leadership of Gevorg Tamamyan.

I leave Chicago with a full notebook, countless memories, a deeper appreciation for teamwork, and gratitude for everyone who made this experience possible.

See you next year ASCO27.”
