“This is a very personal post.
Best of ASCO Anchorage
36 Attendees

The physicians we have here at our meeting represent nearly HALF of the oncologists in Alaska.
Like Hawaii and Puerto Rico, Alaska allows us to bring community education alongside American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) to hard-to-reach patient and care team communities that need it the most!
Some highlights that bring me great pride:
- Dr. Lipika Goyal from Stanford University School of Medicine shared that she was a fellow under Dr Ann Partridge Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, co-Program Chair and ended her presentation with a pic of her and her husband after an Alaskan hike
- Dr. Ravi Salgia, co-Program Chair, from City of Hope sent me a picture of he and his beautiful wife Debbie, enjoying the scenery
- Dr. Beth DuPree, my neighbor in Sedona, shared her learnings in functional and complementary medicine from decades as a breast surgeon and photobombed a selfie with my team
Thank you to the speakers who traveled far and wide, for an adventure and to share learnings Dr Gagandeep Brar, Lipika Goyal Stanford University School of Medicine Aditya Shreenivas Min Park. Chelby Wakefield Banner Health, Bhagirathbhai Dholaria, Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer, Richa Thakur, Vincent Ma, UW Health, Millie Das Siddhartha Devarakonda Reshma Mahtani Miami Cancer Institute Brad Somer West Cancer Center and Research Institute Umang Swami Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Special thanks to Pfizer Regeneron and Exelixis and the teams of representatives who all travelled and helped us make this a wonderful program.
There were so many challenges with this program and roadblocks where there should have been pathways…but God knows patients depend on practice-changing, free continuing medical education…and Total Health will always answer the call!
My team Allison (Cooper) Zuber was there in Spirit after all her hard work and cheering on from the sidelines…”
