“Over the last few months, I have attended numerous cancer conferences, workshops, hospital events, and survivor meetings across India.
But some of the most meaningful conversations did not happen inside conference halls.
They happened in taxis, elevators, hospital corridors, and with drivers, security guards, housekeeping staff, and other hardworking people I met along the way.
Many shared stories about their families living in villages and small towns, where access to quality healthcare is still a challenge. When a serious illness like cancer is suspected, patients often have to travel hundreds of kilometers to reach the nearest city. Many are referred from one hospital to another before finally reaching the right specialist.
For families already dealing with fear and uncertainty, this journey can be overwhelming.
As a breast cancer survivor, these stories deeply touched me and strengthened my vision for Cancer24x7.
I dream of an India where every patient, regardless of where they live, can access the right guidance, the right doctor, and the right support at the right time.
Because healthcare should not depend on a patient’s location.
No one should have to fight cancer alone.”
