Olubukola Ayodele, Breast Cancer Lead at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Ten years ago, London Global Cancer Week started with a simple idea: bring people together to tackle cancer inequalities.
Today, it has grown into a global platform connecting clinicians, researchers, policymakers, patient advocates, community organisations, healthcare leaders and industry partners who share a common goal: improving cancer outcomes for everyone, everywhere.
Our 2026 theme is “Global Partnerships for Equitable Cancer Care: Moving From Local Insight to Worldwide Impact“.
As we prepare for London Global Cancer Week 2026, we invite you to join the journey in various ways.
1. Host an Event
Across the world, individuals and organisations are doing incredible work to address cancer inequalities through research, education, advocacy, community engagement, policy, service development and global collaboration. Too often, however, these stories remain local.
If your organisation is working to improve cancer outcomes or reduce inequalities, London Global Cancer Week offers a unique opportunity to showcase your work to an international audience, share lessons learned, raise your profile, and connect with future collaborators and partners.
Your event could be a webinar, workshop, panel discussion, community initiative, networking event or research showcase. Submission deadline 31st July 2026.
2. Join Us at King’s College London
On 6th November 2026, our flagship meeting at King’s College London will bring together leading voices from oncology, public health, policy, academia, patient advocacy and community engagement.
The programme will feature internationally recognised experts including Nirmala Bhoo Pathy, Richard Sullivan, Bente Mikkelsen, Ophira Ginsburg, Diana Sarfati, Nazik Hammad, Satish Gopal, Carolyn Taylor, Dario Trapani, Didier Verhoeven and many others.
Together, we will explore equitable international research partnerships, community-anchored cancer literacy, ethical data governance, global South-North collaborations and practical approaches to advancing cancer equity worldwide.
3. Sponsorship & Partnerships
Meaningful change requires investment. We are seeking sponsors and partners who want to be part of a growing global movement focused on cancer equity.
By supporting London Global Cancer Week, organisations can engage with an international network of leaders, researchers, clinicians, policymakers and patient advocates while demonstrating a commitment to collaboration, innovation and equitable cancer care.
Most importantly, your support helps create a platform where ideas become partnerships, then action.
If you are interested in exploring sponsorship opportunities, we would love to hear from you: info@lgcw.org.uk
Let’s ensure that good ideas do not remain local successes but become global solutions.
