Marie Bruand: First Multidisciplinary Clinical Practice Guidelines on Management of Radiation-Induced Gynecological Toxicities

Marie Bruand, Radiation Oncologist at Comprehensive Cancer Center, France, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, adding:

“New publication – Pelvic radiotherapy: Supportive care is not optional.

Radiation-induced gynecological toxicities remain widely under-recognized and under-managed, despite their profound impact on quality of life, sexuality, and fertility.

We are pleased to share the publication of the first dedicated multidisciplinary clinical practice guidelines addressing this issue, now available in the International Journal of Gynecological Cancer.

These AFSOS guidelines emphasize:

  •  a structured before–during–after radiotherapy management model
  • proactive prevention and early intervention
  •  integration of sexual health and supportive care
  •  a truly patient-centered approach

Because treating cancer also means protecting life beyond cancer.”
