“Thank you ESMO European Society for Medical Oncology Daily Reporter for highlighting the ESMO MAP 2026 abstract by Moquin-Beaudry et al. on spatial transcriptomics in osteosarcoma.

It is particularly encouraging to see these findings align with the key messages of our recent international workshop publication in British Journal of Cancer, developed with LifeArc, ITCC, Cancer Grand Challenge PROTECT, and many global osteosarcoma experts.

Among the emerging targets, LRRC15 stands out as a promising example of how molecular and spatial profiling can translate into new therapies for patients.

Excitingly, the LRRC15-targeting ADC SOT106 from SOTIO Therapeutics has received FDA Orphan Drug Designation in osteosarcoma and is advancing toward clinical evaluation in our Phase I program in Miami.

MAP2026: Advances in Translational Research are helping to identify potential therapeutic targets for osteosarcoma, a highly heterogeneous cancer with few treatment options that primarily affects AYA.

Spatial Transcriptomic analyses have identified a 9-gene cell surface signature that could be exploited using targeted therapy, while analysis of immune aspects of the tumor microenvironment has identified osteoclast precursor cells implicated in metastases with potential for immunomodulatory targeting.
