David Heathcote, Regional Manager at Paxman Scalp Cooling, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“More than 100,000 people have signed the Prostate Cancer Research petition calling for the introduction of a national prostate cancer screening program, beginning with men at high risk.
Reaching this milestone means the proposal must now be considered for a parliamentary debate. The next priorities include:
- Securing an official parliamentary debate
- Encouraging Members of Parliament to participate, regardless of their position on the issue
- Ensuring the evidence supporting a national prostate cancer screening program is fully presented and considered
Thank you to everyone who supported the campaign by signing the petition and helping raise awareness.
Special thanks to David James, Oliver Kemp MBE, and the team at Prostate Cancer Research for their leadership and commitment to improving outcomes for men at risk of prostate cancer.
The campaign has reached an important milestone, but the work continues.”
