Bivek Singh, Visiting Professor at Management and Science University, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Binay Shah, a hematologist-oncologist and co-founder of the nonprofit organization Binaytara, has been recognized among The 100 Most Influential CEOs in Oncology in 2025, honoring his impactful leadership in advancing equitable cancer care worldwide.
Founded in 2007 with his wife Tara Shah, Binaytara has played a transformative role in reducing cancer health disparities through education, advocacy, clinical care, and innovation.
A major milestone of Binaytara’s work includes the establishment of a 25-bed cancer hospital in Janakpur, Nepal, the only dedicated cancer center serving Madhesh Province and surrounding regions. The organization has also supported the development of Nepal’s first bone marrow transplant center in Kathmandu and continues to expand oncology infrastructure through cancer screening programs, community education, and plans for larger cancer care facilities.
The 2025 list recognizes oncology leaders across institutions, societies, and innovative organizations who share a common commitment to patient care, scientific integrity, and the future of global cancer treatment.
NEDOL (Nepal Doctors’ Lounge), representing a proud Nepali medical community, extends its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Shah for this international recognition. NEDOL notes that such global acknowledgment reflects not only individual leadership but also the growing impact of Nepali physicians in strengthening healthcare systems locally and globally.
The 2025 list by OncoDaily highlights oncology leaders whose stewardship, accountability, and long-term vision continue to shape the future of cancer care worldwide.”
