Mark Lawler: Consistency of cancer policy is associated with better outcomes
Mark Lawler shared a post by Dr. Liz O’Riordan on X/Twitter:
“Have been banging this drum for a while including in evidence I gave to House of Commons Health and Social Care Future Cancer Inquiry. Spread the word Consistency of cancer policy is associated with better outcomes The Lancet Oncology. Lets hope powers that be listen, before its too late.”
Quoting Dr. Liz O’Riordan’s post:
“Why does England not have a cancer plan?
When 1 in 2 of us could get cancer if we live til we’re 80, surely we need policies in place?
Our outcomes are severely lagging behind many European countries who have policies and plans in place.
Why?”
