“New research from MD Anderson co-led by Moran Amit, Neil Gross, and Jing Wang, shows that cancer-induced nerve injury drives chronic inflammation, immune exhaustion and ultimately resistance to immunotherapy.
‘This marks a significant advance in our understanding of tumor-neuro-immune dynamics, highlighting the importance of investigating the interplay of cancer and neuroscience in meaningful ways that can directly impact clinical practice,’ says Amit.
