Our world is poorer without Dave and our Foundation is less rich by the loss of his wisdom and friendship – Carolyn Aldige
We at the Prevent Cancer Foundation lost a dear friend and mentor from the world of cancer prevention upon the death of David S. Alberts, M.D., Director Emeritus of the University of Arizona Cancer Center (where his career spanned 50 years) and Chair of the Prevent Cancer Foundation’s Medical Advisory Board. He was also the Foundation’s Scientific Director and Member of the Board of Directors Emeritus.
Dave became and remained both a personal friend and friend to the Foundation when we first met in person in 1994. I’ll never forget his offer to help the Foundation in any way he could, as he believed so strongly in the core of our mission: cancer prevention and early detection.
Our world is poorer without Dave and our Foundation is less rich by the loss of his wisdom and friendship.
