“Exciting opportunity in brain cancer research now available at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center!
The Department of Neuroscience and the Hollings Cancer Center (HCC) at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) are seeking a tenure-track faculty member at any rank in the field of neuro-oncology. This initiative is part of MUSC’s strategic plan to enhance neuroscience and cancer research.
We are specifically looking for candidates utilizing advanced technologies to explore, detect, or treat nervous system cancers, with a focus on glioblastoma. Additionally, we welcome research on brain mechanisms and innovative therapeutics related to cancer and its risks.
Ideal applicants will hold a PhD and/or MD, demonstrate relevant research proficiency, exhibit a strong publication track record, show promise in securing external research funding, and display a dedication to collaborative work within a supportive environment.
Applicants should submit a CV, a 1-page letter of interest, a 3-page statement of research focus, and contact information for three professional references to Kristen Mulholland ([email protected]). Please reference ‘Neuro-oncology search’ in the subject line.
Applications submitted before October 15, 2025 will receive full consideration.
Join us in advancing brain cancer research at MUSC!”
