Lung Cancer Europe shared a recent article by Hendrik Pott et al, on LinkedIn, adding:
“Just 4% global biomedical research focuses on lung disease.
Lung cancer is still the leading cause of cancer death worldwide.
This mismatch is costing lives. Lung health must be at the centre of research and policy.
Findings published in The Lancet Respiratory Medicine (July 2025).
Based on 2019 PubMed data. It reflects how few research papers focus on lung disease compared to its burden.”
