“Strengthening national cancer control planning – through global collaboration.
More than 100 cancer planners and public health officials from 45 countries came together in Geneva for UICC’s first-ever Cancer Planners Forum – a timely and practical exchange held just ahead of the World Health Assembly.
Participants explored how to design, cost and implement smarter national cancer control plans – aligned with universal health coverage and grounded in national data.
From tackling coordination challenges to integrating services with existing health programmes, country experiences from Australia, Eswatini, Morocco, Sri Lanka and beyond offered real-world insights and lessons others can build on.
The Forum also marked the launch of the updated ICCP portal – a central hub for tools and resources to support national planning.
