“Coming away from Safer Cancer Care Conference in Brussels with a sense of optimism that, step-by-step, appropriate actions are being taken to protect European nurses responsible for infusing anti-cancer therapies.
However, these steps are moving too slowly and with clear inequities evident across European countries.
Engaging talks by Seth Eisenberg, Helena Ullgren, Paul Sessink, Dr Karen Campbell, Josh Cobb and more compared practice and outcomes among diverse healthcare systems and nationalities.

It’s crucial that those with the power to prevent occupational harm among nurses rise to their duties. Change can happen, but it requires leadership to really listen to the voices of nursing and pharmacy, and to act on the evidence.
