‘Operator perceived advantage of virtual surgical rehearsal in pediatric neurosurgical oncology: a preliminary experience’.

To our knowledge this is the largest reported pediatric series with use of virtual reality for tumor resection. In our opinion virtual reality was perceived useful in:

a) deep-seated supratentorial location;
b) glioma histology;
c) younger children.”

Angela Mastronuzzi is pediatric hematologist-oncologist and the Head of Neuro-Oncology Unit at Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital (Italy).
