Working to Better Understand and Detect ALD-HCC – GENIAL-Horizon Europe
GENIAL-Horizon Europe shared a post on LinkedIn:
“What is ALD-HCC?
Alcohol-related hepatocellular carcinoma (ALD-HCC) is the most common chronic liver disease worldwide, responsible for 30% of liver cancer cases and deaths.
Even small amounts of alcohol – just one drink per day – have been linked to increased cancer risk.
The GENIAL Project, funded by Horizon Europe, is working to better understand and detect ALD-HCC through innovative, cross-disciplinary research.
