Janine Austin Clayton: Privileged to attend the first-ever The White House Conference on Women’s Health Research
Janine Austin Clayton, Associate Director for Research on Women’s Health and Director, Office of Research on Women’s Health at NIH, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“This week, I had the privilege of attending the first-ever The White House Conference on Women’s Health Research, hosted by President Joe Biden and Lady First Dr. Jill Biden.
This historic event marked a transformative moment for women’s health, highlighting groundbreaking initiatives and significant investments in research.
The conference built on the momentum of the White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research, and President Biden’s Executive Order on Advancing Women’s Health Research and Innovation, signed earlier this year.
These efforts have driven significant investments and set a new standard for research that prioritizes the unique health needs of women.
This conference brought together researchers, policymakers, and advocates to address the gaps in women’s health research and funding.
I’m honored to contribute to this critical work and to collaborate with so many dedicated individuals who are driving innovation and equity forward.”
