Folakemi Odedina, Professor of Hematology/Oncology at Mayo Clinic, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Innovation drives our Community Outreach and Engagement work at Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center. We have free cancer-fighting vegetable and fruit seeds at the Rochester Public Library.
Over 10,000 cancer-fighting seed packets have been checked out so far as part of our evidence-based intervention program!”

Dr. Folakemi Odedina is a Professor of Hematology/Oncology at Mayo Clinic and Associate Director for the Center for Health Equity and Community Engagement Research (CHCR). She leads CHCR’s Florida site and directs its Global Health Equity Program.
As the PI and Founding Director of the Prostate Cancer Transatlantic Consortium (CaPTC), she focuses on cancer health disparities and community-based interventions for minority populations, especially Black men.
Additionally, she serves as Research Core Director for the Florida Health Equity Research Institute and chairs the Research Committee for AORTIC.
