“I am proud to highlight the efforts of Dr. Fatma Bektash Head of the Patient Education Unit at the Breast Cancer Hospital – National Cancer Institute, who, alongside our Deputy Hospital Manager, Dr. Reem Eid and Dr. Maha Nour, conducted an impactful seminar at the Misr Public Library(MPLEG).

“As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I am pleased to represent the Breast Cancer Hospital- National Cancer Institute with the Deputy hospital manager Dr Reem Eid in a seminar at the Misr Public Library “ MPLEG “ with Dr Maha Nour. This event was dedicated to sharing essential information about breast cancer, providing nutrition guidance, and, most importantly, addressing misconceptions that can often cloud understanding and awareness.
Through this seminar, we aimed to empower attendees with knowledge that can lead to early detection, support effective treatment, and foster compassionate support for those affected by breast cancer. Seeing the audience’s engagement and willingness to learn was inspiring.

Emad Shash is the General Manager of the Breast Cancer Comprehensive Center of the National Cancer Institute at Cairo University. He is also a Lecturer at Cairo University and Medical Oncologist at the National Cancer Institute.
