Lauren Heathcote is an Associate Professor of Health Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience at King’s College London (UK). Her research focuses on understanding psychosocial influences on the experience of pain in young people, particularly youth with chronic illnesses such as cancer and chronic pain. She is the Early Career Director for the International Psycho-Oncology Society (IPOS) Board of Directors and Deputy Chair of the IPOS Fear of Cancer Recurrence Special Interest Group. She is an Associate Editor at Frontiers in Pain Research and on the Editorial Advisory Boards at the Journal of Pain, the European Journal of Pain, Frontiers in Pain Science, and Children.
