Rochelle G Prosser, Founder, CEO at Orchid Healthcare Solutions, shared a post by NCI, on LinkedIn, adding:
“What is clear from this National Cancer Institute (NCI) lethal prostate cancer study is something those of us in the African American communities often already know. Although we are all part of the human race, it is our differences in gene expression, characteristics and side effects that tell the true tale in cancer survival. DEI is not just a catch phrase. True clinical trial and cancer treatment Diversity and Inclusion will save all of humanity.”
Quoting NCI‘s post:
“An immune protein signature more often found in the blood of men of African ancestry is associated with an increased risk of lethal prostate cancer, according to a 2022 study led by NCI researchers.”
