”Day 9: The Psychological impact on childhood cancer patients and families.
Behind every childhood cancer diagnosis is a family grappling with more than just physical pain—there’s a profound emotional and psychological toll. The endless hospital visits, uncertainty, and isolation weigh heavily on both children and their families.
In Nigeria, where mental health resources are scarce, the emotional burden can often be overlooked. As we fight for better treatment, we must also advocate for comprehensive psychosocial support for these families. They need more than medicine—they need hope, strength, and mental wellness to carry on.”
