”Applications are now open for the University of Ghana’s pioneering MSc in Healthcare Play Therapy
We are also thrilled to announce the official accreditation from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), marking an important milestone for children’s healthcare in Ghana and across Sub-Saharan Africa.
The two-year program will equip professionals with the specialist knowledge and practical skills to support children’s emotional, developmental and psychological wellbeing in healthcare settings. Students will learn how to use play therapy, integrate mental health support into clinical practice and deliver child-centred psychological care.
The program has been made possible through World Child Cancer’s strategic collaboration with Amgen (Sean Lybrand, Philip Anderson), helping to strengthen the paediatric healthcare workforce in Ghana and across the region.
There are 14 merit-based scholarships available, covering tuition fees, learning materials, partial accommodation costs and partial living allowance.
