EUROPA DONNA – The European Breast Cancer Coalition shared on LinkedIn:
“Today is breast health day!
Did you know that European guidelines recommend breast cancer screening in all women aged 45 to 74 years? But it’s not always easy to access or prioritise. In fact, in some countries, less than 4 in 10 eligible women are screened.
That’s why this year, we’re calling on women across Europe stop. Take time for your health. Go get screened.
Every 25 minutes early detection saves a life. That’s:
- Nearly 60 lives every day.
- More than 400 lives every week.
- Over 21,000 lives every year.
We know you’re busy. We know it can be scary. But skipping a test won’t stop breast cancer from happening. It’s always better to know – and early detection can mean more treatment options and a greater chance of recovery.
Don’t delay. Make that call. Set the appointment. And encourage the women in your life to do the same.
