Shilpa Gupta, Director of Genitourinary Oncology at the Cleveland Clinic, shared on X:
“Congrats Anant Madabhushi team Emory University on this novel AI work in urothelial ca using digitalized H/E images in EJC. Glad to be a part of this collaboration.
An automated TLS-TSR pipeline validated across 884 patients from 5 independent cohorts (FAHZU, Emory, TCGA, QDPH, CCF) closely matched expert pathologist assessment. The combined TLS-TSR score independently predicted PFS in every cohort after adjusting for stage and Tx.
In the mUC cohort from Cleveland Clinic. TLS density alone tracked with ICI response (AUC 0.745).
First unified AI framework to quantify stromal architecture + immune organization together from H&E spanning across stages of UC.
