Pernille Bjerre Trent, Senior Consultant at Department of Cancer Surgery at The Norwegian Radium Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“SLN vs LND in Endometrial Cancer of intermediate (n=333) and high risk (n=663).
- Staging procedures.
- Detection of metastatic nodes.
Results from the sensor study.
Check out our latest paper.”
“Very proud of Pernille Bjerre Trent & our team for the final publication in Pernille’s PhD -Detection of metastatic lymph nodes in women with intermediate- and high-risk endometrial cancer after implementation of SLN.
- SLN-implementation did not compromise detection of stage IIIC disease.
- SLN-implementation led to more patients undergoing nodal assessment as part of surgical staging, ensuring correct allocation into FIGO stage and appropriate adjuvant therapy.
Check our the manuscript.
It’s Open Access in International Journal of Gynecological Cancer (IJGC).”
