One of the Least Talked about and Misunderstood Cancers in Our Communities – Medicaid Cancer Foundation
Medicaid Cancer Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Brain cancer is real. And it’s here, in Nigeria.
Yet, it remains one of the least talked about and misunderstood cancers in our communities.
From severe headaches and seizures to memory loss and vision changes — the signs are often overlooked until it’s too late. Early detection can save lives, but only if people know what to look out for.
Why do we need to spread awareness?
Because knowledge is power.
Because many Nigerians still attribute symptoms to spiritual attacks instead of seeking medical help.
Because access to diagnosis and treatment is limited, and awareness is the first step to demanding better care.
Let’s talk about brain cancer.
Let’s push for research.
Let’s support those fighting silently.
Let’s break the silence, one post at a time.
