KENCO and OncoDaily Announce Strategic Partnership

KENCO and OncoDaily Announce Strategic Partnership

The Kenyan Network of Cancer Organizations (KENCO) and OncoDaily have entered a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening cancer advocacy, education, capacity building, professional exchange, and international engagement across the cancer community in Kenya and beyond.

The collaboration brings together KENCO’s extensive national network of cancer civil society organizations and OncoDaily’s global oncology platform, creating opportunities to expand the reach of cancer education, connect organizations and professionals across borders, and strengthen the visibility of cancer initiatives emerging from Kenya.

At the center of the partnership is a shared commitment to bringing together the different communities involved in cancer control, from patients and caregivers to healthcare professionals, advocates, organizations, researchers, and international partners.

KENCO: Bringing More Than 55 Cancer Organizations Together

The Kenyan Network of Cancer Organizations is the national umbrella body representing more than 55 registered cancer civil society organizations spread throughout Kenya.

Its members are primarily organizations whose activities align with KENCO’s mission of combating cancer through advocacy, capacity building, sectoral linkages, and awareness campaigns.

By bringing these organizations together within a national network, KENCO creates opportunities for coordination, knowledge sharing, stronger advocacy, and collaboration across different areas of cancer control.

Turning Cancer Advocacy Into Collective Action

One of KENCO’s central roles is strengthening collective action within Kenya’s cancer community.

Cancer organizations often work closely with patients, survivors, caregivers, families, healthcare professionals, and communities. Their experience can provide an important understanding of the challenges people face throughout the cancer journey.

By connecting more than 55 organizations across the country, KENCO provides a platform through which these experiences can contribute to broader discussions around cancer awareness, education, advocacy, capacity building, and sectoral collaboration.

Giving Kenyan Cancer Initiatives Greater International Visibility

The global cancer community is increasingly interconnected, but important work taking place within individual countries and communities does not always receive international visibility.

The KENCO-OncoDaily partnership creates an additional platform for highlighting cancer initiatives, educational activities, advocacy efforts, community perspectives, and organizational developments from Kenya.

It can strengthen professional connections, facilitate knowledge exchange, introduce organizations to potential collaborators, and ensure that experiences from diverse health systems and communities are represented within international cancer discussions.

Through OncoDaily’s global oncology ecosystem, the collaboration provides an opportunity to bring the perspectives and activities of Kenya’s cancer civil society community to audiences across borders.
