365 Days of OncoDaily: Ending 2024 Strong
As 2024 comes to end, we reflect on an extraordinary year for OncoDaily.
Staying truthful to our mission to inspire unity and initiative for a future where cancer care is more accessible, equitable, and compassionate, we grew exponentially creating a larger community around us empowered by new partnerships and collaborations. And what is the most important thing about OncoDaily? We are committed to bringing positive news to people’s lives while staying true to current scientific evidence and realities.
“We established OncoDaily in May 2023, and in just one year, we have made significant progress. Starting from scratch, OncoDaily has quickly become one of the leading oncology media platforms globally.” – said Gevorg Tamamyan, Editor-in-chief of OncoDaily
Let’s take a quick look at this year’s highlights of OncoDaily!
First things first
The year 2024 began with a historic moment that set the tone for the months to come – the inaugural Global OncoThon, hosted by OncoDaily on February 15th, in honor of International Childhood Cancer Day.
This 24-hour live-streamed event united over 100 speakers from 40 countries, including global leaders, researchers, survivors, and advocates, in a shared mission to transform the landscape of childhood cancer care.
The Global OncoThon was more than just an event – it was a powerful demonstration of what can be achieved when the world comes together for a common cause.
Thanks to the collective efforts of participants, donors, and supporters, the OncoThon raised $1.3 million.
These funds will directly support Oncoheroes Biosciences in launching an international clinical trial to evaluate volasertib, a promising treatment for five pediatric cancer types.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every individual who contributed to the success of this extraordinary event.
A special thanks to the team at OncoDaily for their exceptional efforts in organizing and hosting this event. Your dedication and passion have been instrumental in making the Oncothon 2024 a resounding success.” – Oncoheroes Biosciences
