About Asya Agulnik

Asya Agulnik, MD, MPH, is a pediatric intensivist at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where she is an Associate Member in the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine, Division of Critical Care, Department of Pediatrics.

Dr. Agulnik is the Director of the St. Jude Global Critical Care Program, dedicated to improving the care of children with cancer who develop critical illnesses. This program offers ongoing professional education in Pediatric Onco-Critical Care through initiatives like the Global Academy and the Pediatric Onco-Critical Care Symposium (POCCS).

Beyond her research and clinical work, Dr. Agulnik serves as the Director of the Euro-Regional Program of St. Jude Global and the Director of the SAFER Ukraine effort, which ensures the safe evacuation of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases to reestablish medical care abroad.

Her contributions to the field have been recognized with several awards, including the Young Investigator Award from the International Society of Pediatric Oncology. Dr. Agulnik’s work continues to have a profound impact on the global pediatric oncology community.

In 2023 Asya Agulnik was recognized as one of the 100 Influential Women in Oncology by OncoDaily.
