ESMO Targeted Anticancer Therapies Asia Congress 2026 (ESMO TAT Asia 2026) took place from 12 to 14 June 2026 in Hong Kong SAR, China, bringing together leading researchers, clinicians, industry experts, and innovators dedicated to advancing early-phase cancer drug development and precision oncology across the Asia-Pacific region.
Under the theme “Advancing cancer drug discovery in Asia together ”, the second edition of ESMO TAT Asia continued to build on the momentum of its inaugural congress, serving as a focused platform for discussing the latest progress in targeted anticancer therapies, translational research, biomarker-driven treatment strategies, and novel approaches in clinical trial development.
As oncology moves increasingly toward personalized and molecularly guided care, ESMO TAT Asia 2026 highlighted the growing role of regional and global collaboration in accelerating the journey from scientific discovery to clinical application. The congress offered an important space for experts to exchange knowledge, present emerging data, and shape future directions in targeted cancer treatment.
Scientific Committee Co-Chairs
“Great session on AI driven applications in early drug development on the last day of ESMO TAT Asia 2026 in Hong Kong – chaired by Dr Ho Min Kim (Daejeon, Republic of Korea) and Dr Julien Vibert (Villejuif, France)”

Herbert Loong, MBBS, FRCP, FASCO:
“ESMO TAT Asia 2026 is in full swing in Hong Kong.
Excellent science is being discussed, but even more importantly, wonderful connections are being made.”

“Honoured to have participated in the ESMO Targeted Anticancer Therapies Asia Congress 2026 in Hong Kong, joining colleagues for the session “From Innovation to Implementation in Theranostics and Radioligand Therapy.”
It was a privilege to share the stage with outstanding experts, including Grace Kong, Julie Crouch, Stefan Albrecht, and colleagues from across the region who are driving innovation in precision oncology.
The rapid evolution of theranostics and radioligand therapy is reshaping cancer care, but successful implementation requires much more than scientific breakthroughs. Building sustainable infrastructure, developing multidisciplinary expertise, ensuring equitable access, and generating region-specific evidence will be critical to translating innovation into meaningful patient outcomes across Asia-Pacific.
A special thank you to Professor Brigette B.Y. Ma and the entire organising committee for delivering an exceptional meeting.
With more than 600 attendees, ESMO TAT Asia 2026 highlighted the tremendous momentum and enthusiasm for advancing targeted therapies and fostering collaboration across the region.
The energy, quality of discussions, and commitment to improving patient care were truly inspiring.
Looking forward to continuing these collaborations and accelerating the adoption of innovative therapies for our patients.
Next meeting in Hong Kong: ESMO GU Asia 2027.”

“This week: SuperAI Conference in Singapore, followed by ESMO TAT Asia in Hong Kong — a day’s flight.
Frontier AI and frontier life science are becoming one conversation.
The binding constraint of this synthetic age may not be compute.
It may be trust — and trust is work only humans can do.”
