
LUNGevity Career Development Award
The LUNGevity Foundation is accepting Letters of Intent for the 2025 Career Development Award, providing $300,000 over three years to support the most promising early-career investigators committed to advancing lung cancer detection and treatment. This mentored award is designed to help researchers establish independent careers while making impactful contributions to the field.
Who is eligible?
Applicants must:

Hold a doctoral degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent)

Be within the first 5 years of their first faculty appointment at a U.S.-based academic or research institution

Have completed a postdoctoral training fellowship
-
Submit a mentoring plan as part of the application
-
Apply as part of an institution that has not already received a Career Development Award in the current cycle (only one per institution)
Funding at a glance:

Awardees must submit progress and financial reports throughout the term

Early detection of lung cancer

Individualized treatment approaches, including targeted therapy and immunotherapy
