
Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship — Jackson Memorial Medical Center & University of Miami
Two-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship (est. 1974; SSO-approved since 1984; ACGME since 2012) training clinical and academic leaders in multidisciplinary cancer care. Broad exposure across Jackson Memorial Hospital, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, the JMH Breast Center, and University of Miami Hospital, with high volumes and complex, locoregionally advanced disease. Fellows complete 18 months of clinical training plus integrated research, with optional fully funded third-year research.
Eligibility Criteria:

Completion of a fully accredited general surgery residency; Board-eligible or Board-certified in General Surgery.

Eligible for an educational or regular Florida medical license.

Foreign applicants: completed surgical residency in home country and meet University of Miami GME requirements.

J-1 visas accepted.
Funding Details:

Salary commensurate with level of training.

Funding for educational attendance at one national meeting per year.

Optional fully funded third research year available for fellows pursuing an academic career.
