ESO CTC Fellowships at National Institute of Oncology

Three-month ESO Clinical Training Centre residencies/observerships at Hungary’s OECI-accredited comprehensive cancer centre. Fellows gain multidisciplinary exposure across stereotactic radiotherapy (CyberKnife/linac), robotic oncologic surgery (urology, gyn, abdominal), and systemic therapies (chemotherapy, targeted, immunotherapy, lymphoproliferative diseases), plus a 1-month rare tumours track. Training includes tumour boards, inpatient/outpatient care, and molecular pathology.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Doctors specialized within the last 5 years (or completing by start).

  • From Europe, Mediterranean countries, or Latin America.

  • Prior ESO participation (≥1 ESO event or ≥5 e-ESO sessions).

  • Language: Good English required.

  • Track types available: Residency and Observership (programme-dependent).

Funding Details:

  • ESO economy travel reimbursement + EUR 2,000 gross per month.

  • Duration by track:

    • CyberKnife & Stereotactic Radiotherapy — 3 months (Residency/Observership)

    • Robotic Surgery — 3 months (Residency/Observership)

    • Systemic Therapies (chemo/targeted/immuno & lymphoproliferative) — 3 months (Residency/Observership)

    • Rare Tumours Therapy — 1 month (Residency/Observership)

  • ESCO credits per ESO policy: 120 (3 months) or 240 (6 months).

  • Trainee covers any medical-council registration; accommodation not provided.
