“Very happy to be part of the launch of the Call to Action: 5 Ways to Reduce Cancer Care Inequalities in Europe by Cancer Patients Europe – CPE at a high-level event at the European Parliament hosted by MEP Tomislav Sokol.
Following a powerful introduction by MEP Sokol and his priorities in the current mandate, Antonella Cardone and Jacqueline Daly provided opening remarks and background to the Call to Action. This was followed by a panel discussion moderated by Tamsin Rose to present the five calls.

Innovation in diagnostics: Maciej Gajewski, MedTech Europe
Innovation in treatment: Coralie Delettre, Pfizer and EFPIA – European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations

Smoking prevention and cessation: Mahdi Sheikh, IARC – International Agency for Research on Cancer / World Health Organization
IHE contributed to the evidence base of this Call to Action through the report on Tackling inequalities in cancer care in the European Union.”
