Stacey Tinianov: Thank you to ARTIDIS for facilitating advocate education

Stacey Tinianov, Executive Director at Advocates for Collaborative Education, shared a post by ARTIDIS on LinkedIn, adding:

“Thank you to ARTIDIS for so generously facilitating advocate education and a very special thank you to Sara Nizzero for working so diligently to ensure materials are right-sized for research advocates and that the learning is based in dialogue, not monologue.

In a world hyper-focused on molecular assays, learning about the physical properties of solid tumor cancer cells and their relevance in diagnosis and treatment has been mind-blowing.

Eager to spread the word and, as always, connect advocates to appropriate education and resources to accelerate innovation and improve outcomes.

Ridiculously grateful to Marija Plodinec for her boundless support of advocate voices!

And ALWAYS love, love, LOVE learning with, and from, Allison Rosen, Anne H Meyn, Terry Arnold of The IBC Network Foundation, Maricarmen Planas-Silva of Angelmira’s Center for Women with Advanced Cancer, and Sharon Anderson of METAVIVOR RESEARCH AND SUPPORT INC.”

Quoting ARTIDIS‘s post:

“It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Houston-based patient advocates to our Helix Park offices on Friday, March 28 for a Lunch and Learn focused on the physical properties of cancer. The gathering sparked insightful discussions among advocates, researchers, and clinicians from MD Anderson Cancer Center and Baylor College of Medicine, highlighting how measuring the physical properties of tumor cells and their microenvironment may help guide treatment decisions in solid tumors.

Our guests toured the facility, observed the ARTIDIS technology in action, and generously shared their perspectives. These conversations serve as a powerful reminder of why we do this work, and the meaningful impact that collaboration across the advocacy and scientific community can have on improving care for patients everywhere.”
