Estela Rodriguez: Dear FDA, clinical trial diversity is not DEI
Estela Rodriguez, Associate Director of Community Outreach and Co-Lead of the Thoracic Site Disease Group of the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, shared a post on X:
“Dear U.S. FDA: Clinical trial diversity is not DEI, it is an attempt to make better science to study drugs in communities impacted most by disease.
Politics should not impact this goal. Don’t take us back to a time when Hispanics (19% of the population) are not even included in trials.
