Michael Sapienza: The Impactful Work of Our Colorectal Cancer Alliance Team
Michael Sapienza, Chief Executive Officer of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The impactful work of our dedicated Colorectal Cancer Alliance team is being highlighted at this week’s Southeastern Colorectal Cancer Consortium.
Alliance Director of Prevention Dionne Smith Christopher, PMP presents our latest screening quiz poster, advancing the national conversation around early detection and intervention. Alliance Prevention Project Director Kimberly McNeil will present the results of our Cycles of Impact Philadelphia initiative and an abstract entitled, Enhancing Colorectal Cancer Screening Access Among Underserved Black Communities in Philadelphia Through Innovative Outreach.
These presentations spotlight the Alliance’s digital and on-the-ground efforts to expand education and access in communities most affected by colorectal cancer.
We’re also grateful to our incredible Alliance volunteers who are sharing their powerful stories during the Voices of Blue: Colorectal Cancer Survivors and Their Stories panel. Deondre Williams and Timphony Blakney-Brown bring courage, honesty, and inspiration to the conversation, amplifying the lived experiences that help drive awareness, connection, and change. Their willingness to speak candidly about the realities of survivorship brings much-needed visibility and hope to communities affected by colorectal cancer.
